Соотношение затрат капитала и рабочей силы зависит в основном от относительных цен на них, а также от их относительной производительности. Это в свою очередь зависит от степени стандартизации выпускаемой продукции. Если стандартная продукция реализуется в больших количествах, существует возможность использовать крупномасштабные капиталоемкие методы производства, которые способствуют экономии на масштабах. Трудоемкое производство
Производственная деятельность, в которой используется относительно большее количество труда и меньшее количество капитала. Соотношение труда и капитала зависит главным образом от относительной цены на труд и капитал, а также их относительной производительности. Это в свою очередь зависит от степени стандартизации продукции, т.к. на небольших, фрагментированных рынках сбыта, в условиях, когда потребители предъявляют спрос на широкий ассортимент товаров, невозможно делать ставку на крупномасштабное капиталоемкое производство.
